3. Vaishno Devi

Vaishno Devi is a spiritually enriching journey that attracts millions of pilgrims each year. Located in the Trikuta Mountains of Jammu and Kashmir, the Vaishno Devi Temple is dedicated to Goddess Vaishno Devi, one of the most revered deities in Hinduism. The temple is situated at an altitude of 5,200 feet and can be reached by a 12-kilometer trek from the base at Katra. Devotees undertake this journey with great devotion, walking through lush forests and rugged terrain, or opting for ponies or palanquins for a more comfortable ride. Once at the temple, pilgrims pay homage to the Goddess, who is believed to fulfill the wishes of her devotees. The sanctum sanctorum houses three naturally occurring rock formations, symbolizing the Goddess in her three divine forms: Maha Kali, Maha Lakshmi, and Maha Saraswati.
